We are seeking an accomplished academic with a strong passion for advancing geography to contribute to our university's profile in this field.

The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm for innovative teaching, a collaborative approach to research and scholarship, and the ability to build strong connections with students, colleagues, industry partners, and the wider community.

  • Develop and deliver foundation and profession-focused units that cater to the needs of undergraduate, honours, and postgraduate students.
  • Engage in quality research and scholarly activity that aligns with the school's research program.
  • Support students across various levels, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure their academic success.

Requirements
  • Completion of a postgraduate qualification or equivalent in the field of geography, environmental science, or a closely related discipline
  • Teaching qualification or willingness to complete a graduate certificate in tertiary teaching/education
  • Experience teaching and supervising undergraduate and postgraduate students, using multi-modal delivery strategies
  • Proven research record with recent publications and ability to contribute to the school's research program
Additional Requirements for Senior Lecturer
  • Possession of a PhD in geography, environmental science, or a closely related discipline
  • Experience in team leadership and mentoring junior academic staff
  • Ability to develop engaging teaching materials and effectively collaborate with industry partners
