Role Overview

We're seeking an experienced Senior Risk Analyst to join our team in Melbourne. As a key member of our team, you'll play a crucial role in maximising operational collections effectiveness and efficiency while optimising bad debt charge across Retail & SBB portfolios.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement risk management strategies that balance customer experience, cost to collect, and delinquency & loss management via high-quality analysis.
  • Produce regular monitoring and reporting to support monthly performance conversations with an operational and strategic focus.
  • Provide expert education to business units on performance levers pertaining to collections performance and related impacts.
  • Design, implement, and evolve programmatic champion-challenger testing across the collections lifecycle.
  • Maintain and update collection strategy changes in relevant credit risk systems following change management governance processes.
  • Share knowledge with team members to enable capability uplift and delivery of current and future elements of long-term strategy.
  • Prioritise tasks to ensure optimal allocation of effort and manage workloads effectively.
  • Support timely insights to management forums and committees on collections and portfolio trends.
  • Contribute to regulatory engagements with relevant insights and updates.

Requirements

  • Strong analytical and statistical skills, with business use of statistics as a pre-requisite.
  • Experience in risk management, with cross-functional experience across the credit life cycle.
  • Sound project management skills with evidence of successful end-to-end management and deployment of a credit strategy.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with capabilities to articulate complex analytical information.
  • Ability to deliver clear and concise messages with logically structured flow.
  • Facilitation and negotiation skills.
  • Technical ability, with positively trending behavioural abilities also evident.
  • Understanding of credit scorecard/model development and other assessment systems.
  • Experience implementing or being involved in the implementation of a scorecard or decision system strategy.

Salary: AU$120,000 - AU$160,000 per annum
