Job Opportunity

We are seeking an enthusiastic mentor to support a client with Autism. The ideal applicant uses creativity and resourcefulness to suggest activities that are fun, engaging and beneficial for the client.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the client with after-school routines, homework tasks, home duties/chores, and transport to activities.
  • Help the client achieve their NDIS goals and provide organisational support and guidance from family is provided and ongoing.

Shift Details:

Regular shifts are Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday after school (3-5 hours in length) and alternating Saturday/Sunday; 9am-1pm. Extended/Additional hours during school holidays.

Requirements:

  • Valid First Aid and CPR certification.
  • A Working with Children Check, NDIS Worker Screening Check or Police Check.
  • A current drivers licence.
  • A roadworthy vehicle with comprehensive car insurance.

Desirable Qualities:

  • A calm demeanour.
  • Patience and understanding.
  • Enthusiasm for working with children.
  • Organisational skills and sound time management.
  • Familiarity with video games, movies and pop culture relative to younger age groups.
