Strategic Wellbeing Leader

CQUniversity is seeking a visionary leader to champion student wellbeing and drive transformative change across the institution.

Role Overview
  • Provide strategic leadership for mental health, safety, disability, and inclusion
  • Position CQUniversity as a national leader in student support and community care

The Strategic Wellbeing Officer will play a critical role in delivering an integrated approach to wellbeing, where services such as counselling, accessibility, safer communities, and chaplaincy are aligned under a shared mission of empowerment and equity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement wellbeing strategies that promote student success, equity, and community impact
  • Lead a team of professionals to provide high-quality wellbeing services and support
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to drive systemic change and improve student outcomes

Requirements
  • Expert knowledge of wellbeing issues relating to university students
  • Detailed understanding of frameworks and strategies for health promotion, prevention, and wellbeing
  • Postgraduate qualifications or equivalent in relevant area (psychology, or an area relevant to mental health)
  • Registration or eligibility for registration with an appropriate professional association
  • Extensive relevant experience in wellbeing leadership and management
