As a Relationship Manager at the Australian Museum, you will play a crucial role in achieving our mission to ignite wonder, inspire debate and drive change.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual with a love of learning to develop and steward a portfolio of donors. You will be responsible for securing gifts of $10K+ with a particular focus on building an Australian Museum bequest strategy and pipeline of bequest intenders.
You will proactively manage and develop relationships to solicit gifts from prospects and existing donors, supporting senior relationship managers at the Museum in the stewardship of major and principal gifts.
- Clerk Grade 7/8
- Fixed term up to June 2028
- Full time 35 hours per week
We are seeking a driven Relationship Manager to secure gifts of $10K+ and steward donors across the full donor portfolio. The ideal candidate will have:
- at least 3 years' experience in a fundraising, NFP or customer service role
- great organisational skills, be enthusiastic, results-focussed and a self-starter
- experience establishing, nurturing and stewarding relationships within a portfolio of existing and prospective donors and foundations
- excellent writing skills, including the ability to draft grant applications and donor communications
- exemplary interpersonal skills, including effective listening, empathy and discretion
- the ability to build and sustain relationships and exceptional customer service
- a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, work under pressure and establish priorities
- a demonstrated growth and learning mindset with a positive, solution focused attitude
- computer literacy in Microsoft Office suite products and previous use of CRM systems
