Mechanic Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Plant Mechanic to join our team at the Stratford Coal site in Gloucester Basin, New South Wales. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing planned maintenance and breakdown repairs on a variety of mobile equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute planned maintenance on Cat 785 trucks, Water Carts, Cat Graders, Track Dozers, D10T, Komatsu WA900 Loader, Cat 988 Loader Liebherr 994B & Hitachi 2600 Excavators
  • Perform breakdown repairs and machine rebuilds
  • Work collaboratively with the maintenance team to achieve productivity and continuous improvement goals
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A Certificate of Proficiency in Mobile Plant Technology or similar mechanical trade qualification
  • Proven experience working in heavy industry with a focus on mechanical maintenance
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Proven diagnostic problem-solving skills across the mobile fleet
  • Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality work
