Job Title: Fraud Investigator

The fraud investigator is responsible for conducting thorough investigations to identify and prevent fraudulent activities.

  • Reviews referrals to evaluate potential insurance fraud.
  • Collaborates closely with underwriting, audit, and claims personnel to assess all aspects of a referral and determine an investigative path.
  • Builds strong relationships with internal adjusters and external vendors.

The fraud investigator must provide professional communication and service to clients and cross-departmental staff.

  • Ensure timely investigations to facilitate progress.
  • Exercise excellent process adherence to create consistent investigations yielding impact on file direction.
  • Leverage technology and data to support strategic vision.

The fraud investigator requires excellent organizational, leadership, communication, and time management skills.

Requirements:

  • A degree in criminal justice or a related field from an accredited institution, or 5+ years of insurance investigation experience, or law enforcement agency experience, or 7+ years of professional investigation experience.
  • Knowledge of commercial casualty, property, automobile, and workers' compensation insurance products.
  • Commitment to confidentiality.
