We are seeking an experienced Senior Lawyer Writer to join our team at Practical Law Australia. As a key member of our commercial law team, you will be responsible for creating high-quality know-how resources, including practice notes, standard documents, and checklists.
Key Responsibilities- Stay up-to-date with commercial law developments and monitor legal, practice, and market trends.
- Plan, research, write, and edit premium quality commercial know-how resources.
- Support internal peer review processes to ensure content is accurate and reflects current market practice.
- Meet with external customers and industry experts to build a deep understanding of commercial law and related developments.
- Provide legal expertise in responding to customer queries about commercial law and practice.
- Assist in the planning and development of commissioned content authored by commercial lawyers.
- You must be an admitted lawyer in Australia with a minimum of 5 years of PQE experience working as a commercial lawyer, preferably in an in-house role or a top/mid-tier private practice.
- You should have an established reputation as an expert in your field and a genuine interest in commercial law.
- You must be able to work independently and communicate effectively with your manager and the team.
- You should have strong written and verbal communication skills and a proactive, solution-focused mindset.
