About the Position

We are seeking an experienced security and maintenance professional to join our team in a short-term opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor public areas to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for the public and staff.
  • Identify and address any potential risks to the public or asset failures at council facilities.
  • Provide logistical assistance and support to the Security Team Leader and Maintenance Officer.
  • Respond to after-hours calls to attend security breaches, alarms, and maintenance issues at Council sites.
  • Provide support for various civic functions and events as required.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in the security industry with a Queensland Security Licence (Class 1).
  • Able to maintain accurate records and possess strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with computers and technologically based systems.
  • Ability to physically cope with maintenance work and manual handling activities.
  • Understanding of the implications of the Work Health and Safety Act 2011.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with the public and other staff.
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificates.
