Technical Trade Trainer
Job Description:We are seeking an experienced Technical Trade Trainer to join our team and deliver high-quality training to Mechanical Apprentices and Tradespeople in a dynamic and safety-focused environment. As a Technical Trade Trainer, you will be responsible for delivering technical trade training packages, developing and maintaining training plans and documentation, supervising and mentoring training groups and individuals, drafting apprentice progress reports and skills development evaluations, and maintaining a safe training environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver technical trade training packages to meet the needs of Mechanical Apprentices and Tradespeople.
- Develop and maintain training plans and documentation to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Supervise and mentor training groups and individuals to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their jobs effectively.
- Draft apprentice progress reports and skills development evaluations to track individual progress and identify areas for improvement.
- Maintain a safe training environment that meets the highest standards of occupational health and safety.
- A relevant trade certification is required.
- A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is desirable but not essential.
- Minimum 10 years of trade experience in heavy engineering or shipbuilding is required.
- Strong communication and report writing skills are essential.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience in managing technical documentation are highly regarded.
- Demonstrated integrity, accountability, and initiative are essential for success in this role.
- Effective team player with the ability to motivate and support others is critical.
This role requires a National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance.
