Seeking a skilled Technical Writer to support Australia's mission in cyberspace. This 12-month contract opportunity is based in Canberra, ACT and requires NV1 Clearance.

  • Create high-quality technical documentation artefacts including ILS Plans and Work Instructions.
  • Develop and edit Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and manuals.
  • Research and write Technical Design Specifications.
  • Write complex technical subject matter for multiple stakeholders.

This role involves researching, developing and providing publication-authoring services to the ILS Team within a high-performing Defence Program Office.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Plan, develop and organise technical documents.
  2. Ensure all supporting ILS products are delivered and sustained by the Defence Program Office.
  3. Manage updates and revisions to technical documents.

The successful candidate will have strong Technical Writing Skills and proven experience working in a technical writing position.

Essential Qualifications & Experience:
  • A qualified practitioner with relevant tertiary qualifications or relevant industry experience of more than 8 years.
  • Certified SAFe Practitioner (mandatory).
  • Demonstrated strong Communication Skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to write in explanatory and procedural styles for multiple audiences.
Security Requirements:

This role is open to Australian Citizens only with AGSVA NV1 minimum.
