About the Role
As an Electrical Maintenance Specialist at Glencore, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our electrical assets. Reporting to the Electrical Assets Supervisor, you will have the ability to make decisions, work to meet deadlines, and possess exceptional communication skills. Multiple rosters are available for this role, including 7-7 Days only and 7-7 Day/Night shifts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on electrical equipment
  • Conduct electrical inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards
  • Install and upgrade low-voltage and high-voltage networks
  • Fault find and troubleshoot electrical issues and breakdowns
  • Perform drill rig maintenance and breakdowns
  • Support improvement projects to reduce unplanned stoppages
  • Maintain and improve occupational health and safety (OH&S) and operational standards in the workplace
  • Manage and maintain friendly and professional relationships with clients, staff, and management
  • Attend breakdowns as required by the business
  • Plan work tasks to meet compliance with weekly and daily plans
  • Display leadership and make decisions within your circle of control
  • Interpret and update technical drawings

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
  • Trade-qualified electrician
  • Proven track record of electrical repairs and maintenance
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to read parts diagrams and schematics
  • Light fabrication skills, including making brackets and mountings
  • Understanding of circuit diagrams and wiring
  • Installation of electrics and excellent overall electrical skills
  • Hard working, reliable, and able to work unsupervised
  • Strong focus on completing the job safely and compliantly
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills
  • Flexible approach and adaptable to change with a high attention to detail
  • Good time management skills and able to work well under pressure
  • Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment
