Lead Shutdown Coordinator

The role of a Shutdown Controller involves overseeing shutdown processes to ensure compliance with established standards.
As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for analysing work management performance and identifying areas for improvement.
This position requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, as well as the ability to work autonomously and meet deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:- Shutdown Schedule Management: Deliver shutdown schedules and govern yearly budgeted hours for shutdown lines of responsibility;
- Budget Compliance: Monitor shutdown outage duration and cost, escalating potential deviations;
- Performance Analysis: Analyse work management performance against KPIs to identify and deliver improvement initiatives;
- Schedule Prioritization: Manage schedule based on pre-determined priorities, current progress and impacts of emerging work required;
- Interface and Liaison: Interface between site and MECoE specific to shutdown outage information and readiness activities; liaise with operations and maintenance teams to validate and challenge scope;
- Post-Outage Review: Gather feedback and information from site and operations for post-outage review; organise and facilitate meetings;
- Contractor Management: Liaise with contractors for activities such as mobilisation, task execution, close out and demobilisation;
- Shutdown Planning: Liaise with planners and supervisors to improve shutdown plans; update schedule during execution to reflect performance against plan;
- Time Confirmation: Ensure S26 job/area owners have correct time confirmations and escalate gaps to shutdown superintendent;
- Shutdown Duration Accuracy: Responsible for shutdown duration accuracy via DAS and amend as required prior to end of month;
