About the Role

The Advanced Nursing Director - Operations will play a key role in the planning, development, and implementation of organisational and divisional objectives. This will involve working closely with Clinical Directors and Co-Directors to ensure the efficient functioning of each division at SALHN.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of strategic plans to improve patient flow and demand management.
  • Provide professional, operational, and corporate leadership of multi-disciplinary activities related to patient flow.
  • Collaborate with health industry, community groups, professional bodies, and private and public sector health providers at regional, state, and national levels.
  • Ensure systems are in place to support continuous quality improvement and clinical governance within the division.
  • Provide high-level advice to stakeholders and health services on the management of contemporary nursing and/or midwifery issues relating to research.
About You
  • Registered with AHPRA as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
  • Effective leadership skills, including highly developed skills in communication, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and negotiation.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse and conceptualise problems, formulate and execute appropriate solutions, and negotiate successful outcomes in an innovative and resourceful manner.
  • Significant experience (more than 5) in a senior management role within health, particularly working in a multi-disciplinary clinical environment.
