Role Overview:

We are seeking a strategic and innovative Product Owner for our Retail Media division. This role is pivotal in harnessing the potential of Retail Media products, audiences, and data to drive business growth. Reporting directly to the GM Digital & Data, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive product strategy that aligns with our mission to enhance customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and implement a robust retail media strategy aimed at revenue enhancement and market trend identification.
  • Evaluate current product offerings, pinpoint areas for enhancement, and provide actionable insights to meet financial objectives.
  • Foster innovation by investigating new advertising formats and establishing data partnerships to broaden our product range.
  • Ensure the Retail Media product roadmap is delivered on time and within budget, while leading market entry strategies and maintaining clear communication on project statuses.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage product development and leverage eCommerce initiatives.
  • Engage with stakeholders to align on common goals, manage risks, and cultivate a culture of innovation that drives exceptional performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor and mitigate risks, oversee quality assurance, and implement processes to ensure compliance with digital governance and privacy regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in product management, particularly in a Product Owner or Product Manager capacity.
  • Proficient in articulating business requirements and collaborating with digital platform providers.
  • Proven track record in developing consumer-facing applications and eCommerce solutions, ideally in a retail context.
  • Skilled in creating digital business cases and managing capital and operational expenditure requests.
  • Strong understanding of IT frameworks and familiarity with various digital platforms, including Ad Servers and Personalisation tools.
  • Excellent data analysis skills.
  • Capable of gathering relevant information, engaging stakeholders, and analyzing issues to propose effective solutions.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Information Systems or Computer Science are highly regarded.
