Job SummaryWe are seeking a compassionate and caring individual to join our team as a Home Care Worker in Port Macquarie. As a permanent part-time employee, you will have guaranteed hours close to home, ensuring a work-life balance that suits your needs.
Your day will be filled with opportunities to make a real difference in the lives of our elderly customers. You'll provide domestic assistance, help with meal preparation and shopping, offer social support and access to lifestyle activities, and provide respite and emotional support when needed.
Responsibilities- Provide domestic assistance, including cleaning and maintaining a safe and beautiful living environment for older individuals
- Assist with meal preparation and shopping to ensure our customers receive nutritious food
- Offer social support and facilitate access to various lifestyle activities to promote engagement and enjoyment
- Provide respite and emotional support to customers who require it
- Transport customers to appointments, promoting independence and convenience
- Deliver complex care to customers with high care needs, such as dementia, requiring specialized attention and support
- A current P1 class or above Australian Drivers License and a registered vehicle to ensure efficient travel to customer locations
- The ability to work independently, finding solutions to everyday problems while knowing when to seek guidance from a manager
- An understanding of the importance of flexibility and adaptability in a caregiving role
- Availability to work at least 3 days per week, Monday to Friday, with no night or weekend shifts required
