Civil Maintenance Worker

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Civil Maintenance Worker to join our team at the City of Mandurah. As a key member of our Civil Maintenance team, you will be responsible for undertaking civil maintenance operations in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner, and to agreed quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Undertake civil maintenance operations, including road maintenance and construction, in a safe and efficient manner.
- Support the road maintenance and construction teams in safely and effectively directing traffic through and around designated work sites.
- Operate plant and equipment, including concrete cutters, foot stampers, plate compactors, road making plant, and general construction tools and equipment.
- Read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications.
- Undertake basic survey levelling and re-pegging.
- Perform kerbing, paving, and concrete laying tasks.
- Conduct concrete repairs and installations.
- Install and repair paving and kerbing.
- Operate plant and equipment safely and maintain user equipment.
- Work independently and with limited supervision.
- Provide customer service and make decisions in a timely manner.
- Cert III in Civil Construction or previous relevant experience in a civil maintenance environment.
- Current unrestricted "MR" (medium rigid) class driver's licence.
- White Card – Work safe in the construction industry.
- Possession of, or the ability to acquire, accreditation in Basic Worksite Traffic Management.
- Possession of, or the ability to acquire, accreditation in Traffic Control.
- Senior First Aid Certificate (desirable).
