About the Role

The City of Mandurah is seeking a skilled Civil Maintenance Worker to join our team. As a key member of our City Maintenance, Civil Maintenance team, you will be responsible for undertaking civil maintenance operations in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner, and to agreed quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake civil maintenance operations, including road maintenance and construction, in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Support the road maintenance and construction teams in safely and effectively directing traffic through and around designated work sites.
  • Operate and maintain plant and equipment, including concrete cutters, foot stampers, plate compactors, road making plant, and general construction tools and equipment.
  • Conduct basic survey levelling and re-pegging, and prepare concrete and paving surfaces.
  • Install and repair kerbing, paving, and concrete.
  • Work independently and with limited supervision, and provide customer service and decision-making skills.

Requirements

  • Cert III in Civil Construction or previous relevant experience in a civil maintenance environment.
  • Current unrestricted "MR" (medium rigid) class driver's licence.
  • White Card – Work safe in the construction industry.
  • Possession of, or the ability to acquire, accreditation in Basic Worksite Traffic Management.
  • Possession of, or the ability to acquire, accreditation in Traffic Control.
  • Senior First Aid Certificate (desirable).
