Senior Food Writer and Editor Role

The Senior Food Writer and Editor will play a pivotal role in driving audience engagement and building trust with our food brand through informative and relevant content.

  • Develop daily news articles that drive new audiences to our site, focusing on content aligned to social channels, Google Discover and distribution across our wider network.
  • Sub-edit daily news articles and provide feedback to team members.
  • Ensure our content aligns with our tone and style guidelines.
  • Generate video views through contextual embedding of relevant video content.
  • Identify and develop new story ideas to attract new audiences to our brands.
  • Craft compelling Facebook posts and newsletter sells that encourage click-throughs.
About the Ideal Candidate

Applicants should have a strong background in food writing and a keen interest in home cooking. Excellent sub-editing skills, particularly in digital environments, are also essential for this role. The ability to structure content for maximum digital engagement is crucial.
