Job Overview

Our company seeks a highly skilled Food Content Creator to develop daily news articles that drive new audiences to our food and lifestyle media brand.

  • Contribute trend-led article content to grow on-site engagement and ensure our site remains #1 in category for engaged reach.
  • Build trust and loyalty in our brand through useful, topical content that demonstrates deep expertise in food and lifestyle topics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and write daily news articles that drive new audiences to the brand, with a focus on content aligned to social channels and Google Discover.
  • Sub-editing daily news articles, providing feedback to team members, and ensuring brand tone and style guidelines are adhered to.
  • Generating video views by contextual embedding of relevant video content in every page.
  • Hunting and developing new story ideas to attract new audiences to the brand.
  • Crafting compelling Facebook posts and newsletter sells that encourage click-throughs.
  • Building content in the brand's CMS.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A strong background in food writing, with a keen interest in home cooking.
  • Strong sub-editing skills, particularly across digital environments, and an eye for a good story hook.
  • Demonstrated eDM content writing experience.
  • The ability to mentor and coach junior team members.
