Job Title: Inventory Logistics Specialist
About the Role:
The Inventory Logistics Specialist is accountable for the secure and efficient management of inventory. This includes ensuring optimal levels of stock and critical spares are maintained to meet operational demands, as well as adhering to workplace safety standards in storage areas.
Main Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate inventory records to ensure seamless generation and maintenance of purchase orders
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to provide support on processes and queries relating to inventory
- Generate and coordinate purchase orders for suppliers and contractors to align with operational requirements
- Liaise with the accounts department to resolve any invoice discrepancies
Key Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role is essential for success
- Proven ability to work in a high-volume environment and undertake stock takes with accuracy
- Forklift License and Manual Drivers License are required for this position
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) are necessary for effective collaboration
- Demonstrated ability to take ownership of the role and maintain accountability for stock movement and store access
- Excellent time management and organisation skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
- Demonstrated positive attitude and excellent work ethic are crucial for success
- Ability to work effectively in a team and autonomously
- Intermediate computer skills with competency in the Microsoft Office Suite
