Job Title

Our client is seeking an experienced Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) professional to join their team as a HSE Advisor. This role will be instrumental in driving a culture focused on first-class safety through coaching and development across all levels of the business unit.

Job Description:

As a HSE Advisor, you will report into the HSE Manager and form part of a high-performing team focused on delivering excellent levels of safety performance to clients and internal stakeholders.

You will be responsible for advising and coaching stakeholders on site to deliver contemporary programs and services that affect sustainable change in safety performance.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving a culture focused on first-class safety through coaching and development across all levels of your business unit.

This will be achieved by partnering with the business to develop a culture that encourages accountability and collaboration.

Responsibilities:

Provide strong and timely advice to stakeholders on all aspects of HSE, contractor, and risk management.

Deliver excellent levels of coaching and mentoring to relevant stakeholders to encourage collective responsibility for HSE performance.

Work collaboratively with others to foster the development of systems, positive attitudes, and beliefs in support of achievement/maintenance of a H&S culture.

Work closely with the HSE team to implement the business HSE strategy.

Development and review of HSE management plans for major projects.

Requirements:

Tertiary qualification in Safety, Health, and Environment or related discipline.

Relevant experience in a high-risk industry.

Proficient in leading investigation teams handling complex incidents associated with high-risk work scenarios.

Extensive experience in implementing safety management system elements within intricate, multi-disciplinary environments.

Skilled in people management, including coaching and mentoring direct reports.
