Electronics Technical Officer

About the Role

CSIRO is seeking an Electronics Technical Officer to support a range of engineering projects through PCB layout and assembly, circuit testing, and fabrication of electronic enclosures.

The role involves planning, designing, and fabricating electronic devices and systems, assisting senior engineers, layout and assembly of printed circuit boards, and fabricating instrument enclosures and integrating components.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and fabricate electronic devices and systems

  • Lay out and assemble printed circuit boards

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Relevant trade certification or diploma in electronics and control or electronics and communications

Knowledge of electronic circuit analysis

Good soldering technique

Excellent communication skills
