Job Description

A heavy-duty field service mechanic is required to diagnose, maintain and repair heavy-duty vehicles and equipment on-site. The ideal candidate will have a proactive approach to ensure the fleet and machinery remain in optimal condition.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, hydraulics and electrical systems.
  • Perform preventative maintenance checks and services.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues.
  • Respond to breakdowns and emergency calls in the field promptly and efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate service records and reports.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:

  • A trade certificate in heavy duty or automotive mechanics.
  • Proven experience in a similar field mechanic role.
  • Proficiency with diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • An ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • A white card (construction induction).
  • A valid driver's license (HR or higher preferred).
