Heavy Duty Mechanic Job Overview

As a seasoned professional, you will be responsible for assembling, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting heavy mining machinery and equipment. This role requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and commitment to safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and overhauls on mining equipment such as excavators, loaders, drills, trucks, and crushers.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems for optimal performance of machinery.
  • Assemble and install new equipment components, ensuring proper fit and function according to technical specifications.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify worn or defective parts and recommend repairs or replacements as needed.
  • Interpret technical manuals, engineering drawings, and schematics to perform repairs and modifications on equipment.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with safety standards and environmental regulations.
