Key Responsibilities

  • Process payroll for 1000 employees across Australia and New Zealand, meeting deadlines and ensuring accuracy
  • Create and maintain staff personnel files, ensuring up-to-date information
  • Calculate termination benefits and leave entitlements, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation
  • Balance payroll ledger accounts, ensuring accurate financial records
  • Prepare payroll and budget reports, providing insights for business decision-making
  • Ensure timely ATO and superannuation payments, maintaining a high level of compliance
  • Interpret awards and agreements, providing guidance on HR administration
  • Manage end-of-year payroll processing and STP payment summaries, ensuring seamless execution

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience as a Payroll Officer, with a strong understanding of Australian awards and payroll legislation
  • Experience using Oracle and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Outlook, Word)
  • Understanding of TIPT/QMS systems highly desirable but not required
