Job Description

An experienced lawyer is sought to serve as Senior Legal Advisor for the Business Messaging product counseling team.

The role focuses on providing strategic legal counsel to internal teams, identifying and mitigating global legal risk, primarily with Meta's APAC Monetization team.

This is a great opportunity to join a growing legal team and work on novel issues in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide practical legal risk mitigation strategies for globally-reaching products.
  • Offer legal advice across various subjects, including data protection laws, international competition law frameworks, intellectual property laws, marketing laws, and more.
  • Drive consensus and coordinate with cross-functional teams on multi-disciplinary issues.
  • Work collaboratively with attorneys from other legal teams, such as privacy, regulatory, commercial, and litigation.
Requirements
  • Law degree or equivalent certificate; must be licensed and authorized to practice law in the assigned work location.
  • 8+ years of legal experience as a practicing attorney in technology and product development.
  • Able to operate independently and cross-functionally.
  • Experience working on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
