Job Summary
This role supports students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in various settings, including general education classes and specialized instructional settings.
Key Responsibilities- Facilitate student mastery of grade-level curriculum or Alternate Academic Achievement Standards
- Manage behaviors that impact student access to the curriculum
- Participate with students in learning activities off school grounds as required
- Assist students with various needs related to academic, behavioral, social, emotional, and physical support
Requirements
- Associate's degree is required; Bachelor's degree is preferred
- One year of experience working with students in structured educational situations is preferred
- Ability to interact with and support students with special needs
- Knowledge of standard computer hardware and software
- Successful completion of the ParaPro Assessment with a qualifying score of 455 or higher
