Description:

The Pharmacy Assistant Manager plays a pivotal role in the pharmacy team, overseeing day-to-day dispensary operations, including receiving, preparation, packaging, dispensing, distribution, and storage of drugs and pharmaceuticals. Key responsibilities also include clinical tasks such as drug use evaluation, medication reviews, injections, and counseling.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and manage the dispensary with precision ensuring that medications are accurately dispensed and stored appropriately.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of medications to ensure safe usage by patients.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and community partners to develop effective treatment plans for patients.
  • Develop and implement efficient inventory management strategies to minimize waste and reduce costs.
  • Supervise and train staff members to enhance their knowledge and skills in managing pharmacy operations.
  • Analyze business strengths and identify areas for growth and development.
  • Establish policies and protocols related to pharmacy practice and drug distribution to ensure compliance.

Requirements:

  • Possess a valid registration as a pharmacist in good standing with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia or equivalent.
  • Hold current certification in injection procedures.
