About the Role


We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Engineer to join our client for the delivery of a major piece of civil infrastructure in Brisbane/Gold Coast. Due to continued growth, this newly created role is the result of the volume of work, with a short timeline left for project completion. The successful candidate will work closely with the client managing a large package of earthworks on this huge site. The scope includes earthworks, roadworks, and office facilities.


Key Responsibilities



  • Project Planning & Design

    • Oversee all aspects of earthworks and roadworks, ensuring designs meet project and environmental standards.

  • Contractual Management

    • Manage contract negotiations, administration, and compliance with project timelines and milestones.

  • Financial Oversight

    • Develop and manage project budgets, monitor expenses, and report on financial forecasts.

  • Operational Planning

    • Collaborate with teams to coordinate logistics, manage community impacts, and ensure environmental compliance.

  • Stakeholder Engagement

    • Liaise with government bodies, contractors, and community stakeholders for seamless project delivery.

  • Team Leadership

    • Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering high performance and ensuring safety across all activities.

Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in civil engineering, including 5 years in roadworks and heavy civil projects.
  • Strong project management, contract administration, and financial acumen.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in engineering software and project management tools.

Work Conditions



  • Monday to Friday role with the occasional Saturday.
  • Field and office-based work environments.
