Role Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned Purchasing Manager to lead our purchasing function in Cairns, Queensland. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing end-to-end purchasing operations, ensuring timely delivery, and maintaining inventory levels.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and coordination skills, with a strong understanding of supply chain practices and aircraft materials. Proficiency in ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, and Outlook is also required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective purchasing strategies to meet business needs
  • Manage supplier relationships, negotiate prices, and ensure compliance with company policies
  • Maintain accurate records of purchasing activities, including orders, invoices, and credit card transactions
  • Reconcile purchase orders and invoices, and resolve any discrepancies
  • Liaise with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure seamless communication and collaboration
Essential Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in purchasing or logistics, preferably in aviation or a similar industry
  • Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Familiarity with quality management principles and procedures
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers
