
Culturally Safe Family Violence Case Manager

This role requires a high level of cultural leadership to ensure culturally safe and responsive case management in multiple family violence programs.
The job involves:
- Monitoring compliance, progress and performance
- Preparation of regular reports on program activities, outcomes, challenges, and achievements
The role reports directly to the Program Manager and is responsible for supporting the manager to fulfill the requirements and responsibilities relevant to the role, including Aboriginal ways of working, quality and compliance, and strategic direction.
About YouQualifications and Registrations:
- Tertiary qualification in social work, welfare, community services or related field is preferred
Knowledge and Skills:
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing teams whilst promoting cultural safety and trauma-informed practice
- Capacity to make balanced and sound decisions in high-risk and high-pressure situations while managing competing priorities
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of family violence protection acts, MARAM framework, children and youth act VIC, and other relevant legislations
- Able to maintain confidentiality and compliance at all times
- Knowledge of local Aboriginal community and culture and the role Rumbalara provides in the region
- Understanding of factors that influence health and wellbeing of Aboriginal children and young people and their families
- Intake and assessment skills to manage referrals and allocate to practitioners
