We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Pricing and Contracting Leader to join our team at Medtronic Australia.

Job Summary

This is a senior leadership role that requires strategic thinking, excellent communication skills, and the ability to lead and develop a high-performing team.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop a team of 11 employees, providing guidance and support to ensure their success.
  • Manage four direct reports, including a Manager of Tenders & Contracts and three Strategic Pricing Analysts.
  • Develop and implement strategies for pricing and contracting, working closely with local business leaders and global teams.
  • Identify price uplift opportunities and partner with stakeholders to execute plans.
  • Provide input to price decisions for key tenders & contracts.
  • Implement and monitor local pricing, contracting, and tender governance & policies.
  • Partner with the broader Pricing & Contracting organization to drive operational efficiency and process improvements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, including 3+ years of managerial experience.
  • Strong commercial acumen and industry experience in med-tech or pharma.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage complexity and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Analytical skills, including advanced Excel and PowerBI/Tableau proficiency.
  • Experience with pricing software, preferably Vendavo/SAP.

Average annual salary: $180,000 - $220,000 AUD (dependent on location and experience)
