About the Role

Anglicare Victoria is seeking a highly skilled and experienced PASDS Practitioner to join our team. As a key member of our Parenting Assessment and Skill Development Service, you will work with vulnerable infants and young children and their families to provide independent, specialized assessments and reports.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive in-home or day-stay assessments to observe the strengths, skills, and abilities of parents and caregivers.
  • Develop and implement skill development plans to assist parents in safely caring for and nurturing their children.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the best possible outcomes for infants and families.
  • Provide expert advice and support to key stakeholders, including Child Protection and Children's Court.

Requirements

  • Resilience and ability to work with clients who have experienced trauma.
  • Strong understanding of child protection, placement, and support service systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in assessment and skill development with vulnerable infants and their parents.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in partnership with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and communities.
