Job Title: Financial Risk Analyst

We are seeking an experienced and skilled professional to support our Asset Management business in the evaluation of financial risks associated with investments. This role will play a critical part in providing expert advice to Portfolio Managers and supporting the development of investment strategies.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, high numeracy, and excellent verbal and written communication skills. They will be able to effectively present complex financial information and work independently as well as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate financial risks associated with investments, using advanced analytical techniques and tools to assess creditworthiness and market volatility.
  • Prepare detailed reports and briefs on financial analysis and portfolio performance, highlighting key trends and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with Portfolio Managers to develop and implement investment strategies that minimize risk while maximizing returns.
  • Provide expert advice on financial matters, including asset allocation, liquidity management, and cash flow forecasting.
What We're Looking For:
  • Degree in accounting, finance, economics, or business.
  • Post-tertiary and/or industry qualifications are highly regarded.
  • Strong analytical skills and high numeracy with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in presenting complex financial information to stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proven ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in financial analysis, asset management, and/or banking.
