Job Overview

This role is a vital part of our financial operations in Oceania, requiring a finance professional with retail experience in Australia to work closely with regional FP&A teams.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Budgeting and Financial Planning

We are looking for someone who can deliver timely and accurate budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. This includes preparing budgets, forecasts, and reports in Anaplan, as well as providing sound financial insights and challenging assumptions.

  • Develop and maintain planning calendars with functions/maison heads according to HQ and regional management calendars.
  • Provide thorough analyses, inputs, and assumptions; review and challenge assumptions with local functions/maison management while complying with accounting standards and group policies.
Commercial Support and Analysis
  • Manage the monthly performance reporting process for assigned functions/maisons with data integrity, quality analysis, and commentary.
  • Partner with functions/maisons to ensure financials are captured on a timely basis.
  • Prepare regular reports for management review and initiate discussion meetings.
Strategic Investment Planning/Business Support
  • Evaluate new ventures for boutiques/offices - investment/divestment projects with 5-year plans, risk/opportunity assessments, and break-even analyses.
  • Drive and lead financial projects aligned with regional and group directions.
Compliance and Internal Controls
  • Ensure IAS/IFRS compliance work where required, including year-end stock takes.
  • Support internal controls teams to ensure adherence to controls and proper documentation.
Requirements
  • University graduate; professional qualifications in accounting (CPA/CA) preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in financial planning/controlling with accounting/auditing exposure.
  • Experience in matrix organizations; luxury or retail industry experience advantageous.

Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and ability to deliver under changing conditions are essential for this role.

This position requires a strong understanding of financial planning, analysis, and control principles, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
