Job Title: Mine Production Systems Specialist

This role will see you responsible for overseeing our Safety Portfolio through providing project delivery services and remote technical assistance to a growing range of clients in the Asia-Pacific region.

The Safety Portfolio of products includes:

  • Collision Avoidance Systems
  • Fatigue Management Systems
  • Vehicle Intervention Systems

Responsibilities:

Technical

  1. Ensure Mine Production Technology systems at customer sites operate effectively and deliver tangible value to customers' mining operations
  2. Deploy and upgrade Systems and work closely with project managers for successful delivery outcomes
  3. Assist with installation, commissioning, and supporting of Mine Production technology from the office and on-site in remote locations
Operational

  1. Partner with customers to provide technical support to resolve technical issues on Mine Production Technology systems at customer sites
  2. Maintain, enhance, and adhere to documentation and reporting standards, systems, and processes
  3. Compliance with workplace health and safety policies and procedures (and those of clients' sites visited), participation in audits, and compliance with instructions given in respect to the health and safety of others
Customer Service

  1. Providing training to operators and other personnel in the use and operation of systems at client sites through workshop facilitation, as well as be available for after-hours on-call support for critical issues
  2. Maintain and uphold Customer service standard, both internally and externally
  3. Provide operational reporting to clients on deployed solutions, providing improvement or recommendations to drive value enhancement for their operations
Travel

This opportunity may require local and interstate travel, to customer sites. All flights, accommodation, and amenities will be provided by the company.

About You

Requirements include:

  • Tertiary Qualifications in Mechatronic/Electronics/Software disciplines, Computer Science, or related fields
  • Prior experience within mine production/safety systems
  • Experience with Linux OS and shell scripting
  • Knowledge of C++ or Objective-C programming languages
  • Experience with relational (PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server) or NoSQL databases (MongoDB)
  • Global experience desirable

Able to establish own time management routine to meet deliverables, adapt to changing requirements, ensure customer-centric lifecycle delivery, build cohesive working relationships, thrive in dynamic environments, possess valid Australian working rights, and mirror the international nature of the business with employees, customers, and suppliers working across the world in over 50 countries.
