About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Chef de Partie to join our dynamic kitchen team.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment where quality and creativity are at the heart of everything we do.

As Chef de Partie, you will be responsible for running your section efficiently, ensuring consistency and excellence in every dish served.

You will work closely with the Sous Chef and Executive Chef, supporting daily kitchen operations, maintaining high standards of food preparation, and helping to train and mentor junior team members.

The role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive under pressure in a busy hotel environment, while working collaboratively as part of a professional and motivated kitchen team.

  • Prepare, cook, and present dishes to the highest standard in your designated section
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in line with food safety and hygiene regulations
  • Support the wider kitchen team during busy service periods
  • Assist with stock control, ordering, and minimizing waste
  • Train, guide, and supervise Commis Chefs and apprentices
  • Collaborate with the team to develop new menu ideas and specials
About You

We are looking for someone with previous experience as a Chef De Partie or above, a Chef trade qualification, and proven ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

You should be willing to work collaboratively with a multicultural diverse team, flexible to work a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays, and have comprehensive knowledge of kitchen hygiene practices and WH&S standards.

Demonstrated experience working in a 4- or 5-star hotel is essential, as is the ability to work unrestricted in Australia – full working rights.

You should also be able to lift, push and pull large objects up to 50lbs (23 kg), bend and kneel, and have good reading, writing and basic maths skills.
