About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled professional to lead our Transmission and Distribution projects across Australia and New Zealand. As a Director - Substations, you will be responsible for partnering with key clients to deliver major energy projects, leading and supporting engineers, and driving delivery and technical excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with clients to deliver complex energy projects, including substation design and primary plant technologies.
  • Lead and support engineers to ensure project delivery and technical excellence.
  • Identify and implement innovative approaches to enhance project delivery and meet client needs.

Requirements:

  • 15 years' experience in consulting and transmission and distribution projects, with expertise in substation design and primary plant technologies.
  • Familiarity with complex energy projects and substation design standards, including HV substation design and protection schemes.
  • Proven track record of partnering with clients to deliver remarkable projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong approachable leadership style.
  • Local market knowledge of the National Electricity Market (NEM) and a deep understanding of the energy market across Australia and/or New Zealand.
