Mechanical Design Expert Wanted

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Designer/Drafter to join our team of passionate engineers and designers.

  • Import & manipulate vendor drawings/models, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the design process.
  • Produce detailed mechanical drawings/models, including P&IDs, that meet industry standards and client requirements.
  • Export equipment/piping quantities for effective project planning and execution.
  • Collaborate with Mechanical/Process engineers to deliver high-quality plans for construction projects.
  • Support project teams with documentation, revisions, and coordination of drawings/models to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Establish and maintain design templates and drawing standards to improve consistency and productivity.

This role offers flexibility in work arrangements to manage personal priorities, and can be based at Melbourne, Sydney, Newcastle or Brisbane.

About You

  • Proficient in relevant CAD software, such as Autodesk Civil 3D and Autodesk Plant 3D, with a strong understanding of Autocad.
  • Experience in water and wastewater treatment and/or conveyance design, with a focus on delivering safe and efficient solutions.
  • Strong technical knowledge and attention to detail, with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Knowledge of safety in design, constructability, operational practices, and relevant Australian standards and WSAA codes.
  • Relevant TAFE qualifications, diploma, or degree in drafting, engineering, or design, with a strong commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
