Job Role

Our organization is seeking a highly skilled professional to lead the Waste Services team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the collection and processing of waste and unwanted resources, ensuring sustainable and cost-effective waste and recycling services are delivered to residential and business customers in alignment with Council's Waste Strategy.

This role reports to the Executive Manager Waste Services and oversees a team that procures and manages critical contracts providing essential services to approximately 30,000 properties every week.

The successful candidate will ensure our recycling and waste disposal facilities remain compliant and provide high-quality service to the community.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership skills, strategic thinking, and communication expertise.

They should have experience in managing contracts, negotiating with suppliers, and implementing sustainable practices.
