Corporate Procurement Leadership Opportunity

This is a high-profile procurement role within the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) function of a Federal Government Department. As Assistant Director Procurement, you will lead a small team and provide expert advice on procurement planning, evaluation, and approvals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a small team including coaching and mentoring to enhance individual and team performance.
  • Provide strategic advice and support to procurement planning, evaluation, and approvals to drive business outcomes.
  • Guide Contract Managers and assist in resolving contract disputes in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
  • Understand agencies' obligations around modern slavery and provide guidance to business areas to manage these risks effectively.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in procurement advisory roles with a strong understanding of procurement reporting requirements.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills to engage with internal and external stakeholders effectively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to support procurement business outcomes.
