Key Responsibilities:

  • Educate tenants on correct bin use
  • Deliver engaging waste education sessions
  • Drive best-practice waste management
  • Partner with centre management to boost waste awareness
  • Lead daily waste operations at loading docks
  • Inspect bins and storage areas for compliance
  • Ensure proper sorting of waste, recycling and organics
  • Maximise recycling and minimise contamination
  • Resolve waste issues and emergencies fast
  • Coordinate waste services with contractors
  • Contribute to meetings on waste education and awareness
  • Achieve KPIs and provide timely reports
  • Champion safety and follow all procedures
  • Audit tenant waste to find landfill diversion opportunities
  • Bale cardboard, plastics and other recyclables

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Experience in teaching, education, waste management, recycling or environmental services is highly desirable.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to confidently work with tenants and staff.

Organized, reliable, and detail-oriented individual.

Ability to work independently and solve basic problems.

Familiarity with or openness to learning about waste and recycling, workplace safety and environmental science.

Background or studies in environmental science, sustainability or education is a plus.
