Administrative Support Specialist Role

This is a professional and courteous service position, acting as the first point of contact for our business operations.

The purpose of this position is to provide operational support to the sales team and general office administration for effective everyday activities.

This role supports the sales department and provides general administrative assistance for the station, front office, and management team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Sales team with preparing proposals, agreements, sales reports, and presentations.
  • Efficiently and accurately process advertising bookings generated by the Sales team and/or instructed by the Sales Manager or General Manager.
  • Liaise and coordinate with the Radio Ad Operations team to ensure that bookings have been entered correctly.
  • Ensure all material instructions and creative briefs/scripts are prepared in an accurate and timely manner.
  • In conjunction with Promotions, assist the station to organize and book promotional activities, including outside broadcasts.
  • Provide local support with financial processes (AP/AR).

Requirements:

  • Intermediate/Advanced skills in MS Office applications.
  • Working knowledge of graphic and presentation software such as Canva and PowerPoint.
  • The ability to work to deadlines. Working experience within the media industry is highly desirable but not essential.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
