Job Overview

A talented Geotechnical Professional is required to join our team, providing expertise in geotechnical engineering and project management. This role will involve supporting the Engineering Department in scheduling, quality assurance, and project delivery.

The successful candidate will have a passion for making a positive impact, promoting sustainable development, and delivering innovative solutions to complex challenges.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Geotechnical Manager in managing the delivery of works, including planning, quality control, and risk assessment.
  • Collaborate with the Construction Department and subcontractors to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and contractual obligations.
  • Identify potential design issues and provide contingency solutions to mitigate risks.
  • Assist in reviewing design modifications and provide technical advice on geotechnical matters.
  • Support the Project's requirements in delivering projects against safety, quality, environmental, and cost targets.
  • Track and document the approval process to ensure timely submissions and responses.
  • Support the delivery of foundations, retaining structures, and other geotechnical elements for transmission towers and related infrastructure.
  • Prepare technical reports, drawings, and specifications as required.
  • Work closely with civil, structural, and electrical engineers to integrate geotechnical solutions into the overall construction delivery.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide geotechnical insights and recommendations.
  • Assist in managing timelines, resources, and budgets related to geotechnical aspects of the project.
Requirements
  • Relevant degree in Geotechnical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in geotechnical engineering, preferably in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of geotechnical principles, materials, and techniques.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
