About the Role

We are seeking an experienced engineer to lead the development of innovative food packaging and processing machinery and systems. This is a challenging opportunity for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment with a passion for delivering high-quality solutions that meet customer needs.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing new machinery and systems, ensuring they meet performance, operational, and cost specifications. They will also be expected to generate designs and drawings of optimum quality, considering upstream and downstream effects on the business, internal customers, and end users.

This role requires strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field and at least 5 years of experience in special purpose machine design or manufacturing-related fields.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and developing machinery to meet performance, operational, and cost specifications;
  • Generating designs and drawings of optimum quality, considering upstream and downstream effects;
  • Continuously identifying, implementing, monitoring, and updating processes and practices to ensure consistency with design philosophies;
  • Managing design projects to ensure all milestones are met according to the schedule;
  • Providing high-level support to customers and the team;
  • Working closely with all departments to transition new designs through documentation, prototyping, timely production, and testing.
