Mental Health Student Placement Role

This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in mental health, working alongside experienced professionals and making a real impact in the community. As a student placement participant, you will be part of a team providing recovery-focused support to individuals, developing practical skills and knowledge that will benefit your future career.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with client intake, assessments, and case management to ensure comprehensive support for clients.
- Conduct assessments and develop recovery plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Facilitate group activities and community engagement programs to promote social connections and well-being.
- Provide emotional support and practical assistance to individuals, enhancing their quality of life.
- Learn about trauma-informed and person-centered care approaches to deliver safe and effective support.
Required Qualifications and Certificates:
- Currently enrolled in a relevant qualification (e.g., Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, or Mental Health).
- A current National Police Clearance Certificate (no older than six months) ensuring a safe working environment.
- A valid First Aid and CPR Certificate (HLTAID011 - Provide First Aid, HLTAID010 Provide Basic Emergency Life Support, HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation).
- A current Working with Children Check to safeguard vulnerable populations.
- A current NDIS Worker Screening Check to ensure compliance with disability service standards.
- A valid Driver's licence for transportation purposes.
