Lead National Learning Strategist

This role offers a unique opportunity to drive the development and execution of a national learning strategy that will shape Australia's sovereign submarine sustainment workforce. As a key member of the ASC team, you will lead the design and delivery of onboarding, technical, and compliance training programs for the SSN Sustainment workforce.

  • Develop and implement the SSN Sustainment Learning Strategy and 'Train in Australia Plan'.
  • Design and deliver training programs to equip the SSN Sustainment workforce with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
  • Act as ASC's lead for all technical learning activities related to SSN Sustainment.
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to drive strategic initiatives and achieve organisational goals.
  • Provide leadership to the SSN Sustainment L&D team and manage its day-to-day operations.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in learning and development, project management, and stakeholder engagement. They will also have excellent communication, time management, and organisational skills, as well as the ability to adapt to changing priorities and work environments.

Key qualifications include:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Learning, HR, Business, or extensive L&D leadership experience.
  • Project management certification or experience highly desirable.
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in complex environments, ideally with technical training delivery.
  • Proven ability to align strategy with organisational goals and execute effectively.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • Excellent communication, time management, and organisational abilities.
