Senior Quantity Surveyor Role Summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading consultancy in Sydney and work on one of Australia's largest real estate portfolios. Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake pre- and post-contract cost management for large retail and commercial projects, ensuring accurate financial data.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor and delivering expert guidance.
  • Prepare high-quality cost estimates, feasibility studies, and detailed cost plans that meet the highest standards.
  • Lead procurement and tendering processes, including pre-qualification, tender analysis, and contract administration.
  • Produce comprehensive monthly cost reports and present them directly to clients and senior stakeholders, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
  • Collaborate effectively with project teams, contractors, and consultants at all stages of the project, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.

Requirements:

  • Hold a degree qualification as a minimum, with a strong foundation in quantity surveying principles.
  • Possess extensive experience working in QS consultancy, particularly on retail, commercial, or large-scale real estate portfolios.
  • Demonstrate exceptional commercial acumen, with a proven ability to manage risk and drive value for clients through effective cost management strategies.
  • Be proficient in industry-leading cost management software, such as CostX or similar solutions.
  • Hold AIQS or MRICS accreditation, which is highly regarded but not essential for the role.
