Support Worker - Home Help

As a Support Worker, you will be the primary point of contact for our customers in need of domestic assistance. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with a diverse range of individuals and their families.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing domestic assistance services to customers, including cooking, cleaning, and laundry;
  • Assisting customers with daily tasks, such as bathing and dressing;
  • Preparing meals and snacks for customers;
  • Engaging in conversation and providing companionship to customers;
  • Participating in team meetings and contributing to the development of customer care plans;

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent;
  • Experience: Previous experience working with seniors and people living with disabilities is desirable but not essential;
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, patience and understanding when dealing with challenging behaviors;
  • Certifications: Current First Aid Certificate with 12 months or less currency, NDIS Worker Screening Check;
  • Other Requirements: Reliable transportation, current Western Australian Drivers Licence, willingness to work flexible hours and participate in on-call roster;
